Susan Hendrix, PhD
Sue was educated at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln where she earned her BA in English and MS in
Computer Science. She moved to Colorado and spent 18 years developing software for Bell Labs before
leaving to earn her PhD in Computer Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her dissertation
work with Michael Eisenberg centered on Pop-Up Workshop, a software system for creating pop-up cards
and books. While at CU, Sue was a member of the Craft Technology Group, Center for Lifelong Learning
and Design (L3D), and the Institute of Cognitive Science.
Glenn Blauvelt, PhD
Glenn earned a BSc in Mathematical and Computer Sciences from the Colorado School of Mines where he
worked in the Mobile Robotics and Machine Perception lab at the Center for Robotics and Intelligent Systems.
At the University of Colorado he earned MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science as well as a PhD in
Cognitive Science. His dissertation work with >Michael Eisenberg centered on MachineShop, a software and
hardware system for designing and building mechanical automata. Glenn was a member of the Craft Technology
Group, Center for Lifelong Learning and Design (L3D), and the Institute of Cognitive Science.
